indie Promotes Key Senior Management

Executive Team Well-positioned for Accelerated Product Innovation, Scalability and Market Outperformance

indie Semiconductor, Inc. (Nasdaq: INDI), an Autotech solutions innovator, today announced the promotion of a few outstanding senior executives within the organization. These individuals have demonstrated exceptional leadership, business acumen and automotive industry relationships, and have already made significant contributions to the success of indie in relatively short order. In their new roles, these key management team members will help drive indie’s market outperformance and realize the Company’s vision of creating an Autotech powerhouse.

Peter Gulden appointed Executive Vice President of Radar Systems and Software

“Peter is a global expert in radar systems engineering. In his expanded role, Peter will take technical and commercial responsibility across all of indie’s exterior and interior radar sensing portfolio, including silicon, software, system and algorithmic engineering,” said Donald McClymont, co-founder and CEO of indie Semiconductor. “Under his strong leadership and radar expertise, we will be able to expand new commercial opportunities for indie’s class-leading radar solutions in automotive and adjacent industrial applications.”

Dr. Gulden was formerly Senior Vice President of indie’s Radar Systems and Software business unit and Managing Director of Symeo, an indie Semiconductor company. He joined indie in January 2022, via the acquisition of Analog Device’s Radar Systems Group where Dr. Gulden was the Engineering Director for automotive and industrial radar systems. Previously, Dr. Gulden was Chief Technology Officer for Symeo (which was acquired by Analog Devices), a leader in radar sensor technology for automotive and industrial markets. He started his career at Siemens, where he led the research and product development for radar and LiDAR systems.

Dr. Gulden earned his Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University and earned his Doctorate in Engineering and Electronics Communication Technology from The University of Siegen, Germany.

Abhay Rai appointed Chief Product Officer

“Abhay has been instrumental in expanding indie’s footprint in the driver assistance (ADAS) segment, including leading our successful Vision business unit. His extensive market knowledge and previous expertise in the industry at automotive Tier 1’s and ADAS sensor innovators will be crucial in his role as Chief Product Officer for spanning indie’s entire strategic roadmap,” said Donald McClymont.

Mr. Rai previously held the position of Executive Vice President and General Manager of indie’s Vision business unit and has been a leader in expanding indie’s sensing portfolio through accelerated internal development, complemented with inorganic growth. Prior to joining indie in January 2021, Mr. Rai was the Global Vice President of Product Marketing for Visteon, responsible for new product development, introduction, and expansion into the automotive electronics and electrification market. Mr. Rai has previously held senior product marketing and commercial positions at automotive sensor leaders Sony and Aptina (which was acquired by Onsemi).

Mr. Rai earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University, and an Executive MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Michael Wittmann appointed Chief Operating Officer

“Michael has been critical to shaping and growing our Power business unit, driving new commercial opportunities and defining a strong and competitive product roadmap. In his new role as Chief Operating Officer, I am confident his exceptional leadership skills, proven operational track record and strong commercial background will help indie to achieve operational excellence across the Company,” said Donald McClymont.

Mr. Wittmann previously held the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of indie’s Power business unit, responsible for business execution, product definition and portfolio planning. Prior to joining indie in March 2021, he was with Intel, serving in a variety of senior and General Manager roles in wireless connectivity. Before Intel, Mr. Wittmann held senior marketing and business development positions with Infineon technologies, including Director of Automotive Power Modules at International Rectifier (which was acquired by Infineon).

Mr. Wittmann received a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany.
