Citrix Empowers Enterprises to Secure the Work Today and Tomorrow with Two Powerful New Innovations

Citrix offers innovative solution to support post-quantum cryptography (PQC) in NetScaler, as well as announcing CVAD 2507 Long Term Service Release (LTSR) and new annual release cadence

Citrix, a business unit of Cloud Software Group, Inc., today announced two new offerings that help enterprises provide secure application access for their entire workforce across an evolving threat landscape. Building on its rich heritage of supporting customers where they are, Citrix continues to drive innovation and evolve to meet the dynamic needs of modern enterprises around the world, empowering IT leaders to drive growth within their organizations.

Citrix introduces its post-quantum cryptography (PQC) solution for NetScaler^Ⓡ, previewed to all interested customers since April 2025, to address the emerging threat of quantum computing to current cryptographic standards. Citrix is also announcing the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops™ (CVAD) 2507 Long Term Service Release (LTSR) – delivering access to new features, platform support, and performance improvements while maintaining stability and long-term support.

Together, these new offerings further extend Citrix’s considerable experience helping businesses secure access to work, equipping enterprises facing evolving threats, complex regulations, and agentic AI work with seamless, secure access to applications and data, so employees can work efficiently and productively whenever and wherever they may be.

Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) with NetScaler

Current encryption standards will be no match for quantum computers, which will be able to crack standards like RSA or ECDHE in hours. While commercialization of quantum computers may still be years away, attackers are already collecting encrypted data, with harvest now - decrypt later attacks (HNDL), meaning business-critical data is potentially sitting in a bad actor’s data warehouse waiting for quantum decryption.

Meanwhile, only 5% of organizations have a roadmap to address quantum computing. This isn’t a challenge for tomorrow’s CISOs but rather a strategic imperative and infrastructure planning requirement for today’s business leaders.

Citrix is enabling enterprises to get ahead of the quantum curve and secure tomorrow’s work today with one of the market’s first hybrid PQC encryption capabilities. Available through NetScaler version 14.1.51, the hybrid PQC solution (X25519 + ML-KEM768) is one of the first application delivery platforms to offer NIST-aligned and production-ready hybrid post-quantum cryptography, ensuring both quantum resistance and compatibility with current client browsers.

NetScaler with PQC support gives organizations a clear path to start their PQC transition now with full control of their timeline, rather than waiting for quantum computers in the hands of bad actors to force their hand, all through a single platform.

CVAD 2507 Long Term Service Release (LTSR)

With over 400 new features, improvements, and security updates since the last LTSR, version 2507 is Citrix’s most powerful release ever. In direct response to customer feedback, this release is also the start of a new cadence of LTSRs that helps businesses in a more seamless, proactive way, via:

One LTSR every year
Three total CVAD releases per year
Three years of maintenance for each LTSR
