Interface Introduces Stellar Horizons, a New Cosmic-Inspired Carpet Tile Collection

Interface, Inc. (NASDAQ: TILE), the global flooring solutions company and leader in sustainability, today launched the Stellar Horizons™ carpet tile collection, blending cosmic inspiration with earthly innovation. The collection showcases Interface’s design leadership through new constructions and a diverse assortment of space-inspired aesthetics, delivering versatile, high-performance solutions that inspire creativity and elevate interiors.

Drawing from the night sky and society’s fascination with outer space, Stellar Horizons has a strong artistic vision without being too literal. It explores celestial textures and shifting contrasts, giving customers a toolkit of options that work in large and small spaces. The collection features six unique styles, offering designs that range from dynamic movement to layered geometric patterns.

“Whether it’s watching mankind’s first walk on the moon or films about galactic adventures, we all have some sort of connection to the cosmos. Themes of outer space are increasingly influencing culture and design, so we looked to engrain this sense of wonder in a flooring application,” says Carson Machell-Archer, Lead Design Manager at Interface. “Stellar Horizons brings fresh, imaginative energy to our carpet tile portfolio. Each pattern effortlessly reflects the wonder associated with meteors, galaxies, and even astronaut moonwalks. And the collection’s breadth of color offerings makes it the perfect dynamic design system for today’s commercial spaces. The result is out of this world.”

From the Galaxy to the Floor

Stellar Horizons provides infinite design possibilities with deep pattern variation and a range of complementary color options. Mixing greens, blues, greys, and blacks with both high-contrast and subtle accents, the collection is a smart, scalable solution for multi-use projects. It offers a range of price points and supports segment versatility, allowing designers to integrate a strong visual perspective into any space based on aesthetic needs, budget, performance requirements, and more.

The collection features six carpet tile styles, four from Interface and two from the company’s specialty design brand FLOR®. It includes:

  • Meteor™: True to its name, this style takes inspiration from a meteor shower. With spanning patterns and textures ideal for larger spaces, its application is as clear as the night sky.
  • Cosmic Web™: Featuring a matrix pattern, this carpet tile product visualizes the mystery of dark matter, serving as a reminder that all things are connected.
  • Endless Orbit™: This style showcases what Saturn’s rings would look like in a design application, featuring organic textures that bring energy and movement to the floor.
  • Lunar Landing™: This foundational style resembles the moon’s texture with calming colorways and grounding visuals.
  • Moon Walk™: With bold statement-making patterning, this geometric style brings drama and movement to larger spaces and detail to smaller ones.
  • Stardust™: Adding cosmic glamour to every step, this elegant, sophisticated style is made to dazzle with metallic accents reminiscent of shooting stars.

Stellar Horizons delivers on Interface’s commitment to create flooring solutions made with purpose, without compromising on design, performance, and sustainability. Driven by circularity, Interface designed the collection with the full life cycle in mind. The company makes the products using key raw materials—including recycled, bio-based, or captured carbon materials—that store more carbon than is released during manufacturing as it works toward its goal to be carbon negative by 2040.
