Schwab Reports Monthly Activity Highlights

  • Core net new assets brought to the company increased 35% versus August 2024 to reach $44.4 billion.
  • Total client assets equaled $11.23 trillion as of month-end August, up 15% from August 2024 and up 2% compared to July 2025.
  • New brokerage accounts opened during the month totaled 382,000, up 18% versus August 2024.
  • Investor engagement remained strong in August, with average client margin loan balances expanding 6% month-over-month and trading volumes above 7 million daily average trades for the 8th consecutive month.
  • Transactional sweep cash declined by $0.8 billion to end August at $406.7 billion, reflecting client net purchasing activity.
