Advanced Drainage Systems Issues Fiscal 2025 Sustainability Report

Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS) (NYSE: WMS), a leading provider of innovative water management solutions, issued its Fiscal 2025 Sustainability Report today, demonstrating the company’s continued commitment to environmental stewardship.

“At Advanced Drainage Systems, our reason is water, and we're committed to delivering sustainable solutions that protect and manage water resources,” said Scott Barbour, President and Chief Executive Officer. “I’m proud to share how our team has continued to develop solutions in Fiscal 2025 that help communities nationwide build resiliency and safeguard the environment."

A few highlights from the Fiscal 2025 report include:

Recycling:

  • Opened our world-leading Engineering and Technology Center in Hilliard, OH,
  • Broke ground on a $30 million expansion at our Cordele, GA ADS Recycling facility, and
  • Purchased over 500 million pounds of recycled material, continuing ADS’ track record as one of North America’s largest plastic recyclers.

Environmental Impact Reduction:

  • Received validation on our science-based targets (SBTs) from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), targeting to achieve a 50.4% reduction of our Scope 1 & 2 GHG emissions and 30% reduction in our Scope 3, Category 1 emissions in line with a 1.5°C trajectory.

Accountability:

  • Received limited assurance on Fiscal 2025 Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions, and
  • Developed a comprehensive Climate Adaptation and Resilience Plan to guide our climate strategy.

Social Purpose:

  • Supported the ADS Foundation in over $1.2 million of charitable giving focused on our mission.

Operational Excellence:

  • Achieved a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), a company-wide safety performance metric, of 1.96 – 39% lower than the average among our industry in the United States.

Barbour continued, “We continue to integrate sustainable practices into our own operations – in particular, the opening of our new Engineering and Technology Center will enable ADS to further develop our materials science capabilities to improve our use of recycled plastics, and our newly drafted Climate Adaptation and Resilience Plan allows us to better predict and plan for climate-related risks and opportunities in the years ahead. I am confident that we have the right tools at hand to further develop our sustainability impact.”
