Full Spectrum 680 W LED Supplemental Grow Lighting for Greenhouses Announced

Superior LED Technologies has announced energy-efficient supplemental LED lights for horticultural growers.

Following a recent announcement, Superior LED Technologies has a range of full-spectrum LED grow lights, including a 680 W light perfect for supplementing the natural light in greenhouses for year-round yield.

With climate change and uncertain supply chains driving a growing food insecurity in the world, the interest in local horticulture is increasing. Superior LED Technologies’ products help greenhouse and vertical farmers optimize their crops while keeping energy costs down.

The Peak Pro 680 W has a 10% higher output than a 1000W HPS at the same time as it reduces wattage by 35%. Like all of Superior LED Technologies’ lights, it utilizes Cryo-Therm cooling technology for maximum airflow that minimizes microclimates, as well as reduces the reliance on AC units to keep the temperature down. The light is designed for single and multi-tier cultivation close to the canopy.

Greenhouses usually provide enough natural daylight during the summer months, even in the northern parts of the US and Canada. From October to March supplemental lighting is needed to give the plants enough light to keep on producing as desired. The team of engineers at Superior LED Technologies is available to discuss the right product depending on the plant, placement of the greenhouse, and geographic location.

"Superior LED Technologies works as an extension of a customer’s facility development team. Whether building a facility from the ground up or retrofitting an existing operation, clients gain the expertise of Superior LED’s team of experienced engineers, who work with each customer to develop the most effective and efficient lighting plan," a company spokesperson said.

The Peak Pro line also has 340, 840, and 1050 W lights suitable for various types of plants. The lights have a 62,000-hour runtime designed to increase yield by 50% while reducing energy costs by 50-75%, giving farmers the right conditions to run a profitable business.

Superior LED Technologies also helps US farmers in all states apply for energy tax rebate programs to lower the upfront installation cost.

"Everyone I’ve worked with at Superior are geniuses and always available to help out with any questions. Basically, Superior LEDs are unbelievably good. They are the closest thing I’ve seen to the sun. This is the future," a customer said.
