Tyler Technologies (NYSE: TYL) Signs Four-Year Agreement with Hillsborough County, Florida for Appraisal Services

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL), a leading provider of software and technology solutions for the public sector, has entered into a four-year agreement with Hillsborough County, Florida, to deliver its Appraisal Services. Announced today via Business Wire, this partnership aims to enhance the efficiency of property assessment processes, reduce costs for taxpayers, and support effective governance in one of Florida’s most populous counties.

Hillsborough County, located in west-central Florida and home to the city of Tampa, serves approximately 1.5 million residents, making it the state’s fourth-largest county by population. Under the new agreement, Tyler’s Appraisal Services will oversee the assessment of commercial and exempt properties, introducing a higher level of precision and streamlining county operations. The collaboration is expected to yield significant financial benefits, with projected savings of nearly $225,000 annually over the four-year term.

Hillsborough County Property Appraiser Bob Henriquez emphasized the transformative potential of this partnership. “This strategic collaboration between the Hillsborough County property appraiser and Tyler is designed to revolutionize the way property assessments are conducted, ensuring taxpayers receive faster, more efficient services while driving down costs,” Henriquez said. He added that the initiative aligns with the county’s commitment to effective governance, allowing savings to be redirected into other essential public services.

Tyler Technologies brings decades of expertise to the table, with a track record of providing appraisal services in nearly all 50 states and 26 state capitals for over 85 years. Mark Hawkins, president of Tyler’s Property & Recording Division, highlighted the company’s role in supporting Hillsborough County’s goals. “Hillsborough County officials are focused on driving additional efficiency through this effort, and this proactive approach to governance will serve its residents through accurate, timely, and seamless appraisal services,” Hawkins stated.

The partnership sets a new benchmark for accuracy and quality in property assessments, leveraging Tyler’s advanced technology to modernize county processes. By integrating data and systems, Tyler’s solutions aim to deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency and transparency—key priorities for public sector entities.

Tyler Technologies, headquartered in Plano, Texas, is an S&P 500 company with a global footprint. The company supports more than 45,000 installations across 13,000 locations, serving clients in all 50 states, Canada, the Caribbean, Australia, and beyond. Recognized repeatedly for its innovation and growth, including a spot on Government Technology’s GovTech 100 list, Tyler continues to empower government entities with end-to-end solutions that bridge data, processes, and community needs.

This agreement marks a significant step forward for Hillsborough County as it works to optimize resources and enhance service delivery for its residents. For more information about Tyler Technologies and its offerings, visit tylertech.com.
