Nicole Caley chosen by IAOTP as the Most Inspirational Member of the Year for 2022

Nicole’s impressive repertoire of roles includes almost two decades of senior leadership roles in operational accounting at multi-billion-dollar organizations. In her roles, Nicole concentrates on organizational leadership, staff development, and training. While in these roles, Nicole has hosted several Women’s Leadership Summits that led to efforts of developing a Women’s Business Council to support women’s leadership opportunities and close the gender gap on senior leadership. In 2019 she was featured in the book America’s Leading Ladies Who Positively Impact the World, sharing the pages with Oprah Winfrey, Melinda Gates, and many other amazing women.

Through Living Virtuously LLC, Nicole exudes her true passion of serving the Chicagoland area through private speaking engagements and volunteer work that are specifically focused on the young girls from the inner city of Chicago. She provides tools to help them triumph past sexual abuse. Nicole is relatable and authentic, she understands and connects with people from all backgrounds, social statuses, ethnicities, and religions.

In late 2018, Nicole established Payables Solutions Partners, LLC. with the goal of driving continued advancement in the world of Accounts Payable (AP). As an advisor, she provides guidance to global organizations as they navigate through systems, process, and organizational changes, as well as completing a full review of their AP operation to provide a comprehensive plan to meet the client’s business needs. Nicole also provides leadership coaching; specializing in emotional intelligence, conflict management, and creating high performing teams.

Nicole dedicates a significant amount of her free time as the President of the Board of the Illinois Chapter of the Institute of Finance and Management (IOFM). She is also a valued partner of IOFM, teaching global certification for accounts payable specialist and managers (APS/APM), accounts receivable specialist and managers (ARS/ARM), procure-to-pay specialist and managers (P2PS/P2PM) and order-to-cash specialist and managers (O2CS/O2CM).

Before embarking on her career path, Nicole earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting with a Certificate in Forensic Accounting, and then her Master of Business Administration from Benedictine University.

Throughout her remarkable career, Nicole has received awards, accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. In 2016, she was awarded AP Director of the Year for Organizations >$1B by the Institute of Finance and Management. In 2017, she was selected as Outstanding Professional of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women. For 2018, she was selected as the Top Professional of the Year in Finance and Management by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) and for 2019 selected as Empowered Woman of the Year and featured in TIP (Top Professional Industry) magazine. In 2021, Nicole was awarded with the Benedictine University Alumni Rising Star Award, which recognizes graduates that have made significant contributions to their field. This year she will be considered for an exclusive interview on TIP Radio.

Looking back, Nicole attributes her success to her perseverance, mentors she has had along the way, and staying passionate in all her business endeavors. When not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. For the future, she will continue making an impact on young girls lives through her speaking and coaching abilities and her extraordinary life experiences.
