Rolling Seeds to launch a smart tabletop game platform, integrating a physical user interface and digital games

Seoul, Korea South - 07-14-2022 (PR Distribution™) -

Play a wide variety of interactive games for the whole family with physical user interface: Seeds

Seoul, July 12, 2022—Rolling Seeds, an innovative smart tabletop game platform, launched on Kickstarter today. Designed for everyone ages 3 to 99, it includes the smart game Pot, physical UI (Seeds), and a Seed Tray.

Kevin Cho, CEO of Rolling Seeds, says, “I came up with the idea of Rolling Seeds while playing with my 2-year-old son. I saw there are games for kids and then there are those for adults, but there aren’t any games which the whole family can play together and enjoy. I knew there was a need for a game platform that has a physical interface, can be played on any smart device, and has expandability, so unlimited games can be added.”

The smart game Pot has a simple, intuitive user interface. It has a smart device mount on top, a seed gate, and a seed basket with a handle. Users place their tablet or smartphone in the mount, and the smart game Pot lets them physically interact with the user interface and the visual representations of the games on their device. The smart game Pot has a battery life of 10+ hours and recharges via a USB-C cable.

The Seeds have NFC tags inside them to deliver coded inputs into the smart game Pot as you play your games. They look a bit like coins and have simple yet vivid colors that give them an engaging design. Their eco-friendly water-based HD resolution UV printed graphics are adorable.

The Seeds also have Braille on them, so people with visual impairments can play games. Made of premium-quality nontoxic recycled ABS, they last for game after game.

There are currently 20+ games to choose from, including Rolling Crossword, Rolling Crazy8, Spelling Master, Rolling Go Fish, Roll of Fortune, Rolling President, Rolling Soccer, Rolling Spoon, and Rolling Tree. More games will be added over time, and upgrades will be available to users. Games take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes to play and allow for 1 to 4 players.

To play, turn on the smart game Pot’s power via the obvious On button. Pair a smart device to the smart game Pot via the Rolling Seeds app over Bluetooth, and then mount the device on top.

Rolling Seeds is inspired by the concept of a plant’s creation and growth. The Seeds symbolize the seed of a plant, and the rolling is the sowing of seeds. The Seed Tray used for organizing the Seeds represents a field. What is created is fun, and what grows is knowledge, joy and bonding.

Rolling Seeds is available on Kickstarter today at a Super Early Bird price of $99 which is 40% off the retail price of $220.
