(PRLeap.com) School Parent Collaboration, a new book by Dr. Cordelia Azumi Yates, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

School Parent Collaboration: An Approach to Understanding the Elements of Parents' Rights and Working with Students from Diverse Backgrounds is a timely new academic resource designed for both Special Education and General Education courses. Authored by Dr. Cordelia Azumi Yates, this book provides a practical and accessible approach to building strong school-parent partnerships, with a particular focus on engaging families from culturally diverse backgrounds.

This easy-to-use guide targets the essential skills that educators need to effectively collaborate with parents while honoring their rights within the United States educational system. Through real-life scenarios and hands-on application exercises, the book serves as both a teaching tool and a time-saving resource for instructors preparing preservice teachers.

Unlike more theoretical texts, School Parent Collaboration focuses only on the most relevant concepts educators need to succeed in today's diverse classroom, making it an indispensable addition to teacher preparation programs.

She now brings her wealth of experience to the university classroom, preparing the next generation of teachers.

A dedicated educator, wife, and mother of five, Dr. Yates is passionate about improving teacher education through research and practical engagement. When not teaching or writing, she enjoys cheering on her university students at basketball games and exploring new areas of academic inquiry.
