Gallery on Main, a Fine Arts Gallery, is Celebrating & Uplifting People of Color this September at Visual Art Exhibition in Richmond, Kentucky

By: PRLog
People of Color are often made to feel ashamed of what makes them unique and may not feel comfortable in their own skin, or have the courage to let their light shine (or outshine those around them). This is not always the case but more often than not this happens. This exhibit is meant to reaffirm to People of Color that they have an intrinsic value that many forget about even though the melanin they possess holds the truth about their DNA and the giants on which they stand.

RICHMOND, Ky. - Aug. 11, 2025 - PRLog -- Gallery on Main, a fine arts gallery, in downtown Richmond, KY is celebrating & uplifting People of Color in 2025! Many People of Color find it hard to display their artwork in predominately Caucasian and/or Anglo-Saxon spaces. The artists in this exhibit are either People of Color or the muse for the visual art is a Person of Color.

Diversity: Celebrating & Uplifting People of Color features the work of LJ Bryant, Obiora Embry (showcasing his photography and artwork from his private collection), Maria Vinegar (jewelry), and other visual artists of color! Live music will be provided by Sistah Lala and Kimberly Kenney Clayborne will read poetry. There will also be food and a raffle (the raffle will benefit Gallery on Main).

We hope to see you there! Support the local artists who have their work on display and tell your friends, family, co-workers, and more about this free event.

Gallery on Main is a 501(c)(3) non-profit housed in the Community Trust Bank building at 128 West Main Street; Richmond, KY 40475. Web site: https://galleryonmainky.com/.
