Where the Miami Dolphins Stand After Week 1

MIAMI - Sept. 10, 2025 - PRLog -- Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season is in the books, and one team is already drawing attention. After a 33–8 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the Miami Dolphins are facing questions about their early-season outlook.

The offseason was turbulent for Miami, with star wide receiver Tyreek Hill involved in trade rumors and head coach Mike McDaniel under pressure to deliver. Despite a supposedly favorable matchup against Daniel Jones and the Colts, the Dolphins were outplayed. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw for 114 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while taking three sacks.

Injuries are already piling up, with Hill battling oblique and calf issues and running back De'Von Achane managing a preseason calf injury. With a shaky offensive line and a stretch against the Patriots, Bills, Jets, Panthers, and Chargers, the upcoming slate is challenging.

Analysts are speculating that Miami could reassess strategy at the trade deadline, with Hill one of the most likely stars to be moved. A potential rebuild could see the Dolphins stockpiling draft picks while shifting their focus to the future.

From a betting perspective, observers will watch how oddsmakers adjust lines in the coming weeks as more data becomes available.
