SUNY Brockport Partners with eCampus.com to Launch Campus Store and Online Bookstore Focused on Student Success

eCampus.com’s full-service online bookstore platform will improve the student experience through access to low-cost course materials coupled with a customer-focused campus retail experience.

(PRUnderground) April 10th, 2025

eCampus.com has been selected as SUNY Brockport’s official course materials partner, delivering a full-service online bookstore platform alongside managing and operating the SUNY Brockport campus store. The enhanced campus store and online bookstore are slated to launch in summer 2025. SUNY Brockport, part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is located in Brockport, NY. This new partnership focuses on providing convenient and affordable access to course materials via a personalized online storefront, in addition to a customer-focused retail experience for the entire SUNY Brockport community.

SUNY Brockport joins five other SUNY system schools—Canton, Cobleskill, Cortland, Morrisville, and Oneonta—in selecting eCampus.com as their comprehensive course materials provider. However, Brockport is the first to combine this partnership with campus store management. eCampus.com was selected after a comprehensive evaluation process demonstrated that the company best supports SUNY Brockport’s mission to enhance the student and faculty experience. Key advantages of the program include excellent customer service, a wider range of affordable options, and the capability to meet growing demands for digital content. Students will have access to new, used, and rental textbooks, as well as access to a variety of digital materials. Additionally, students can utilize an exclusive Marketplace, which allows them to buy textbooks and course materials from third-party sellers at discounted prices. eCampus.com will also provide 24/7 dedicated customer support.

eCampus.com’s systems will integrate seamlessly with Banner, SUNY Brockport’s Student Information System, to create a tailored ordering process using Single Sign-On (SSO). This unified approach will allow students to conveniently order course materials during registration, streamlining the process as they sign up for classes. Additionally, eCampus.com will offer free shipping to the SUNY Brockport campus store, offering students the convenience of in-store pickup for their course materials.

Through eCampus.com’s intuitive adoption platform, faculty are empowered with the academic freedom to research and select the most suitable content, regardless of publisher or platform. The platform also provides powerful adoption metrics and a student readiness dashboard, offering real-time insights into student purchasing behaviors. This allows both administrators and faculty to make informed decisions that foster student success.

eCampus.com will also extend its expertise in retail management by assuming the operation of SUNY Brockport’s physical campus store, reimagining the space with expanded SUNY Brockport-branded merchandise. The refreshed campus store will reopen in the summer of 2025 with a new name, SUNY Brockport Campus Store.  The store will offer a wide range of apparel, accessories, and gifts designed to fit every budget. It will also serve as a convenient course materials service center to support students with all their textbook and course material needs, including order pickup, seasonal buyback and rental return events, and on-site customer support.

“We are excited about eCampus’ online model for providing the course materials that students need in the format they want at the best price possible, and for their strategy to source popular and affordable merchandise for our campus community,” said BASC Executive Director, Bill McNamara. “We look forward to this partnership and to seeing our faculty, staff, alumni, and students proudly sporting SUNY Brockport apparel from our campus store!”
