BLK Tech Connect Hosts Live Panel in Baltimore on July 26 Highlighting Black Tech Entrepreneurs and AI

BLK Tech Connect returns July 26 in Baltimore with a live panel of Black tech founders sharing real-world strategies, innovation insights, and how AI is reshaping the game.

BLK Tech Connect, a growing community and event series for Black professionals in technology, will host its third gathering on Saturday, July 26, 2026, at FLOCK in Baltimore. Titled “Building Black Tech Empires,” the event will bring together Black tech founders and innovators for an afternoon of storytelling, strategy, and inspiration.

Founded by Khalif Cooper, BLK Tech Connect is known for its engaging experiences and authentic conversations that empower the next generation of Black leaders in tech. This edition, sponsored by Perry Labs, features a live panel discussion exploring how Black entrepreneurs are building and scaling tech businesses in today’s evolving landscape.

Panelists include Jeffrey Scruggs, AI Engineer and CTO of Venture for T.H.E.M.; Dontae Tyler, cybersecurity expert and founder of OQP Solutions; and MarKeisha Snaith, Senior Security Architect and founder of Xire. The panel will be moderated by Dez Jones, community strategist, author of Hey, Nice to Meet You, and founder of Hey Follow Up.

Topics will include the challenges and wins of Black entrepreneurship, branding and funding strategies, and how artificial intelligence is shaping the future of tech startups. The event will also feature networking, light refreshments, and raffle giveaways.

Doors open at 11:00 AM, with the panel discussion starting at 12:30 PM. Tickets are available for a minimum $3 donation, with all proceeds going to support future BLK Tech Connect programming.
