Innovative Eyewear (NASDAQ: LUCY) Announces the First ChatGPT Enabled Smart Glasses

Innovative Eyewear, Inc. (NASDAQ: LUCY) operates as a developer and retailer of smart eyewear through its Lucyd, Natuica and Eddie Bauer brands. Shares of the smart glasses company are skyrocketing 138% through early trading on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Over the past three months, Innovative Eyewear has seen average daily volume of 1.64 million shares. However, volume of 46.26 million shares or dollar volume of around $165.15 million, has already exchanged hands through early trading.

Shares of Innovative Eyewear are soaring after the company announced the launch of the world’s first ChatGPT-enabled smart glasses. The ChatGPT function is made possible through the company’s just-released iOS & Android app called Lucyd. Users can download the Lucyd app to enable a voice interface for the wildly-popular ChatGPT on the company’s smart eyewear.

Through the built-in Bluetooth microphone in its smart eyewear, users can ask questions to ChatGPT and obtain responses through their stereo speakers. Furthermore, the Lucyd app is device agnostic, which means the ChatGPT function can be integrated into other wireless smart devices, such as Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) AirPods.

The announcement comes after Innovative Eyewear just recently unveiled its Lucyd Lyte 2.0 eyewear, which is available in fifteen different styles. Once integrated with the Lucyd app, these smart glasses can provide a unique, on-the-go experience with ChatGPT. This effectively leverages the power and popularity of natural language artificial intelligence (AI) bot with the ability to listen and speak on a hands-free wearable.

“We are excited to be the first company to provide ChatGPT enabled smart eyewear. With our new Lucyd app, which is free to our eyewear customers, we are continuing to make smart eyewear more accessible and functional than ever before,” says Harrison Gross, CEO of Innovative Eyewear. “A great pair of smartglasses is defined by three key factors: fashion, tech, and suitability for all-day wear. The Lyte 2.0 collection successfully addresses these factors and now provides access to the world’s most popular AI assistant. By connecting to ChatGPT with your voice on Lucyd smart eyewear, you can access a wealth of detailed research on just about any subject, making it one of the most powerful mobile learning systems available.”
