Boot Barn (BOOT) Reports Earnings Tomorrow: What To Expect

BOOT Cover Image

Clothing and footwear retailer Boot Barn (NYSE: BOOT) will be reporting results this Thursday after the bell. Here’s what investors should know.

Boot Barn missed analysts’ revenue expectations by 0.9% last quarter, reporting revenues of $453.7 million, up 16.8% year on year. It was a mixed quarter for the company, with an impressive beat of analysts’ EBITDA estimates but full-year EPS guidance missing analysts’ expectations.

This quarter, analysts are expecting Boot Barn’s revenue to grow 17.2% year on year to $496.4 million, improving from the 10.3% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $1.55 per share.

Boot Barn Total Revenue

The majority of analysts covering the company have reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. Boot Barn has missed Wall Street’s revenue estimates four times over the last two years.

With Boot Barn being the first among its peers to report earnings this season, we don’t have anywhere else to look to get a hint at how this quarter will unravel for apparel and footwear retail stocks. However, there has been positive investor sentiment in the segment, with share prices up 6.7% on average over the last month. Boot Barn is up 15.2% during the same time and is heading into earnings with an average analyst price target of $187.57 (compared to the current share price of $175.11).

Today’s young investors won’t have read the timeless lessons in Gorilla Game: Picking Winners In High Technology because it was written more than 20 years ago when Microsoft and Apple were first establishing their supremacy. But if we apply the same principles, then enterprise software stocks leveraging their own generative AI capabilities may well be the Gorillas of the future. So, in that spirit, we are excited to present our Special Free Report on a profitable, fast-growing enterprise software stock that is already riding the automation wave and looking to catch the generative AI next.
