LGBTQ United Collection – United For Love, Spread The Word

LGBTQ2S+ is an acronym for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning, and Two-Spirit. Gender equality and feminism are well-known topics around the globe. Why not LGBTQ2S+? In this 21st century, some people still consider being gay or lesbian or transgender a sin. And because of that many people try to hide their identity just because of social pressure. Sometimes, their friends and family do not accept them.

Around the world, these communities of people face harassment and discrimination. This discrimination leads to affect their education, job, and most importantly mental health. Because of the set up of cultural and social norms that dominate people with the idea of education, career, and marriage. There can be immense mental and physical pressure for a person coming out as a lesbian or gay or transgender.

There are many countries where the LGBTQ community is facing challenges. Here are some challenges faced by this community.

  • Violence - The crime rate against the LGBTQ community is higher, putting them at higher risk for violence.
  • Discrimination in the job - In many places, LGBTQ people got fired from their job. This implies that for some people performance and ability are nothing. And they choose people based on their gender identity.
  • Discrimination in getting a house - While they face problems in their job, they also have to face biasness while searching for a house.
  • Discrimination in healthcare - The LGBTQ community is more likely to face mental health issues. Still, they have to fight to get a better healthcare facility. They also have to face discrimination by healthcare insurance companies.

The list is endless. Though the community has won legal battles there is a need for acceptance among people in the community. Outside the legal system, they still face discrimination, hate, and mental torture.

But, Enough is Enough.

The time has come to forget about the past and accept the LGBTQ2S+ community with all your heart and soul. Encourage people to love this community as they are different but in a beautiful way. Try to gather more knowledge about LGBTQ2S+ and get rid of all the false homophobia. Because the most important thing is to be proud of the LGBTQ community. Despite facing so many challenges in their life they still stood up for their rights.

Try to create a positive and lovable environment for everyone and most importantly love them. Let's respect each and everyone and celebrate love in every form.
