• Forty-one percent of cat owners purchase Christmas gifts for their pet and spend an average of $30.70 per gift.

• It's the year of the cat! Forty-nine million (37%) of U.S. households own a cat in 2024, a 23% increase from 2023. At the same time, multi-cat households are on the rise: Single-cat households decreased 9% in the last six years, while households with two cats and three or more cats increased by 8% and 38% from 2018, respectively.
