UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / September 30, 2025 / Marquis Who's Who honors Katy Dibble as a Top Professional in the field of education. A self-described hard worker and lifelong learner, Ms. Dibble has served as an exceptional children (EC) resource teacher with Durham Public Schools since 2023. In this role, she specializes in teaching reading and social learning skills to students with diverse needs.

Ms. Dibble has built her career on diligence, persistence, and a passion for learning. She constantly seeks new ideas, books and trends to deepen her classroom instruction.

Milestones and Career Highlights
In December 2016, Ms. Dibble earned a bachelor's degree in individualized studies in special education from Bowling Green State University. After graduation, she worked in different jobs before taking on her first teaching role in a middle school classroom.

By 2025, Ms. Dibble had passed the North Carolina state exam and the Educator prep program to clear the North Carolina Educator license. She reached that milestone after completing the education preparation program in North Carolina, earning her certification as a teacher. To date, it remains one of her proudest moments, as it marked the point where her dream of becoming a teacher became a reality.

Much of Ms. Dibble's drive comes from her family. Teaching runs in her family, as her brother is also an educator. Moreover, her father, mother, and brother have supported her ambitions. This steady support system has given her the confidence to meet challenges with determination.

A Passion for Student Success
Ms. Dibble's professional responsibilities are multifaceted. Daily activities include lesson preparation, lecturing and guiding students through reading instruction and social learning. With several years of experience, she has developed a strong reputation as a thoughtful and dedicated teacher. "I love that I can help students read," she says.

"If there is something new or a trend, I try to learn about it," Ms. Dibble says. As such, she continues to invest in her professional development. For example, she maintains affiliations with the National Education Association, the local Educator Association chapter and the Council for Exceptional Children. These connections keep her up-to-date on best practices while providing her with a community of peers who share her dedication.

Future Goals in Special Education
Ms. Dibble is clear about her goals. Over the next five to 10 years, she plans to continue working as a special education teacher. Every certification, award, and recognition represents a step toward helping students thrive. She believes that education is a lifelong process for both teachers and students. As a result, she remains committed to walking that path with those she teaches.

Ms. Dibble's success has never been about standing alone, and her recognition as a Top Professional is an example. "I dedicate this to my family who always support me," she says. The educator acknowledges that their encouragement has carried her through every career stage. Her profession has always been about learning, growing, and teaching with the same support and determination she experienced.
