Aqua Virginia Earns State Excellence Award for 19th Consecutive Year

The recognition reflects the company’s deep commitment to providing safe and reliable drinking water across its operations

Aqua Virginia, an Essential Utilities, Inc. company, today announced its Lake Monticello water treatment facility received the 2023 Silver Water Treatment Plant Performance Award for Excellence in Filtration and Backwash from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Office of Drinking Water. This marks the 19th consecutive year the company has received a Water Treatment Plant Performance Award, which recognizes drinking water plants for exceptional operational performance and adherence to stringent water quality standards.
