Altus Power Announces New 1.7 MW Solar Project in Northern California

Altus Power (NYSE: AMPS), the largest commercial-scale provider of clean electric power, today announced the completion of a 1.7 MW rooftop solar project at 700 Crocker Drive in Vacaville, CA, an 839,000 square foot distribution center. The solar array, part of California’s Net Energy Metering 2.0 program, is designed to meet nearly 80% of the distribution center’s annual energy consumption, providing the power it generates at a discounted rate. It is also expected to reduce emissions by 1,000 metric tons of CO2 annually and 35,000 metric tons over its useful life.

“Projects like this showcase the dual benefits of commercial-scale solar,” said Brett Phillips, Altus Power’s Director of Western US. “The project will deliver clean energy over its 35-year useful life to the facility while also reducing operating costs for users and increasing asset value for the property owner. We’re proud to support the facility’s sustainability goals and promote the value of renewable energy across the state of California.”

The project will deliver significant benefits to the building owner, including new rental streams and discounted energy rates. The project adds to Altus Power’s footprint of 120 MWs of solar assets across The Golden State.

Altus Power’s portfolio across 25 states serves enterprises committed to achieving carbon reduction goals. As a full service, end-to-end commercial-scale solar provider with a long-term ownership mindset, Altus Power generates clean electric power near the place of consumption, alleviating incremental transmission requirements.
