Pursuit Aerospace Announces Completion of Strategic Acquisition to Expand Capabilities

Pursuit Aerospace (“Pursuit”), a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components, today announced it has completed the strategic acquisition of Larson Forgings, Inc. (“Larson”).

“We are excited to welcome the Larson team to Pursuit Aerospace,” said Doug Folsom, Chief Executive Officer of Pursuit. “This acquisition brings a 130 year legacy of forging excellence to Pursuit. We are honored that the Larson family chose to partner with Pursuit in the sale of their business.”

“Larson adds seamless rolled ring capabilities to Pursuit,” added Ben Adams, Chief Commercial Officer. “We are excited to be able to expand our existing forging capabilities and offer an even greater variety of forged aerospace components to our valued customers.”

Founded as a Chicago blacksmith shop by Charles E. Larson in 1895, Larson Forgings has grown over the years and transformed into a leading provider of seamless rolled rings and open die forgings. The company serves both OEM and Tier 1 aerospace and defense customers and has a trusted, decades-long relationship with Pratt & Whitney. Larson’s forging capabilities are supported by a wide range of in-house services, including heat treat and non-destructive testing.

“We chose to partner with Pursuit due to their unwavering focus on continuous improvement, their focus on employees and feedback from other business owners who have partnered with Pursuit,” stated Scott Larson, President of Larson Forgings. “Pursuit’s customer relationships, scale and broad capability set have helped strengthen Larson’s position and ability to serve our customers.”
