The U.S. health-care system is under siege, with financial distress and rising frustration and dissatisfaction by the public among its challenges.

Rob Roy is senior vice president, chief investment officer and co-head of environmental sustainability for AdventHealth, a nonprofit health-care system that employs 3,800 physicians and provides health-care services to over 8 million patients through 52 hospital campuses in 9 states and 22 home health and hospice agencies.

Roy, who has 36 years of institutional investment experience, oversees AdventHealth investments, which include operating capital and employee retirement portfolios totaling approximately $20 billion.

I spoke with Roy about different approaches the health-care system can take to address its challenges on a recent episode of The Sustainable Finance Podcast.
