Winnipeg Window Covering Company Participates In Largest Build In Habitat For Humanity Manitoba's History

WINNIPEG, MB: Jon Siddall, the owner of Blind Ambitions, a Winnipeg window covering company, recently participated in the largest build in Habitat for Humanity Manitoba’s history.

Jon spent a day volunteering during the spring of 2025. His volunteer work was a part of a four-year-long effort to build 55 homes in the 900 block of Pandora Avenue West in Transcona. Slated to be completed in November of 2026, 24 families have already moved into their new homes. When the project is completed, approximately 275 people, including 175 children, are expected to move into the houses.

Blind Ambitions has partnered with Habitat for Humanity for years; it supplies all of the blinds for Habitat for Humanity homes built in Winnipeg.

Jon Siddall commented on the importance of giving back to his community: “I founded my business in 1990 to give homeowners and business owners in Winnipeg access to high-quality window treatments and expert advice,” said Siddall. “Thanks to their support, my business has thrived, creating good jobs for hard-working Winnipeggers. The whole team at Blind Ambitions wants to give back to the community that has allowed us to succeed; our passion for window treatments made Habitat for Humanity a natural partner. I loved working on these homes for the day, and the whole team loves the fact that we contribute window treatments; everyone deserves a beautiful home with beautiful blinds.”

Founded in Winnipeg in 1990, Blind Ambitions serves homeowners and business owners in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. It offers a variety of window treatments, including blinds, shades, drapery, shutters, and motorized window treatments. Its knowledge of the industry also allows the business to offer specialized room darkening, top-down/bottom-up, specialty-shaped window treatments, and custom drapery. Its experienced design consultants and window covering installers help clients find and install the perfect treatments for their windows.
