The festivities kick off with the 2024 Hualien Summer Festival starting early July at the Dongdamen Square in Hualien City. This five-day musical extravaganza will feature popular contemporary artists, providing the perfect backdrop for a vibrant summer party. Following the carnival, the 2024 Hualien Muscovy Duck Fun Summer Vacation at Liyu Lake in Shoufeng Township promises a delightful experience for families. From mid-July to early August, the event will showcase enchanting water and light shows every evening, complemented by engaging performances that are perfect for family bonding.

In mid-July, the 2024 Hualien County Indigenous Harvest Festival will take place next to the Hualien County Stadium. This event, the largest gathering of indigenous communities in Taiwan, will feature traditional music, dance, and crafts, offering a profound insight into the rich cultural heritage of the indigenous peoples.
