The Balkans: Europe’s New Tech Hotspot

Sifted’s list of hot tech companies focused specifically on the fast-growing tech scene in the Balkans, a region long known for its affordable, high-caliber engineering talent.

In recent years the Balkans have evolved from a place to hire engineering talent to a fertile ground for fully-fledged tech companies.

Sifted compiled a list of nine of the most promising companies in the region. To make it onto the list, companies were either valued at over €100m or had experienced three-to-five-times user or revenue growth.

Insightful Earns its Place with 600%+ Growth 

Founded in Belgrade, Insightful earned its rightful place on the list of hot startups based on a record 600% growth in recent years. The company is now used by more than 2,100 companies -- a number that continues to grow rapidly.

Insightful Founder and CEO Ivan Petrovic said his team’s focus is on maintaining the impressive current growth rate and expanding into new markets and verticals.
