About the Author
Sharron Bennett has volunteered at the botanical gardens for 15 years and has been rewarded many times for her service. She has been a Master Gardener for 20 years after retiring from teaching 8th grade math.

Given the opportunity to be a mom of 4 wonderful children, she was involved in a multitude of well-designed activities for children, many times as a leader. Education was highly valued in the Bennett family unit, so college hours were added at every opportunity. She completed her Master's Degree in Early Childhood with an emphasis in Children's Literature graduating along with her 4 children. With a certification in mathematics, she went on to teach middle school math for 14 years, and later helped adult students pursue a GED helping them with mathematics.

At the age of 86 and thriving on opportunities for creative expression and natural beauty, she combines these passions to bring George to you.
