Douglas L. Brinker, M.A., CPSS, is the Founder of Beacon of Hope LLC and a nationally recognized suicide prevention speaker. A U.S. veteran and dedicated mental health advocate, he serves as a Veteran Peer Support Specialist, AFSP Field Advocate, and Director of Mental Health and Veterans and Military Support for the Michigan VFW Department. His commitment to service extends through active involvement in numerous organizations, including the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Lions International, and the Jackson County Military Coalition. He has also served as Post Commander for VFW Post 423.

Douglas lives in Jackson, Michigan, with his wife, Kim. He is the proud father of two sons, Kyle and Austin.
