IT Concerns? We've Got You Covered!

By: PRLog

CHILLIWACK, British Columbia - April 7, 2022 - PRLog -- As IT guys and gals, we often view ourselves as ready for any challenge life can throw at us. But the truth is, I'm not sure that ever included working from home with kids being kids! Don't get me wrong, I love them, but have you ever tried to have a professional conversation over the phone, and suddenly one of the kids does something so totally outrageous that you just have to stop what you are doing and admire them?

For example, my son who had been watching the dog come and go through his doggie door decided that he needed to see what was on the other side of that door. While on a call, I glanced down to see him coming head first towards me through the doggie door. Of course I had to pause my conversation and snap a pic of him as he made his way towards me. Oh, and for the record, we now keep the doggie door locked!

Sometimes the world of IT troubleshooting can be very similar to what my son had to figure out in order to make it to me through that door. We may not always know what is on the other side, but we have learned that as IT and security experts we will find the solution and provide you with the results you need.

Where security is concerned, we believe there are 3 P's to our security model:

Prevent – Ideally, we like to stop threats before they ever happen. Whether it's a hardware failure, a hacker, or simply obsolescence, your technology will fail. We plan ahead, monitor for signs of failure, and prepare so that any interruptions are minimized. With the right team behind you, you stop holding your breath waiting for the worst to happen.

Perceive – We constantly employ the most up-to-date tools available to keep track of potential threats to come. To put it simply, we monitor all workstations, devices, and servers through a multi-faceted security detection and response system.

Preserve– Let's say for whatever reason, your servers are gone. Do you have backups to restore from? How long are you going to have to keep your doors closed until that all gets sorted out? How much is that downtime going to cost? If you don't have a good answer to these questions, you probably need to think your backups. At MicroAge Chilliwack our preferred backup structure involves two types of onsite backup, an offsite backup, and an archived cloud-backup. This way no matter what happens, there's a backup somewhere that we can fall back upon.

So, don't worry! We've got you covered.
