River’s Bend PC highlights the vital role of families in recovery, offering training, IOP programs, and support to empower loved ones in the healing journey.

River’s Bend PC, a nationally accredited leader in outpatient mental health and substance use disorder treatment, is shining a spotlight this August on one of the most overlooked elements of recovery: the family.

“Some of the bravest people I’ve ever met are not just those struggling with addiction or mental health challenges, but the loved ones who never gave up on them,” says Bruce Goldberg, LMSW, ACSW, CAADC, SAP, and Co-Owner of River’s Bend. “Parents, partners, siblings, and friends often stand quietly in the background. This month, we’re making sure they’re seen.”

In that spirit, River’s Bend is proud to sponsor Empowering Families & Inspiring Recovery, an immersive two-day intervention training event designed to help professionals redefine what it means to offer support. The training emphasizes connection over confrontation and equips participants with the skills to invite—not pressure—their loved ones into healing.
