Mito Red Light Pledges 3% of September Sales to Pediatric Cancer Charities During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Founders Scott and Kayleigh Chaverri Honor Their Cancer Survivor Son Matthew by Supporting Organizations That Fight Pediatric Cancers

(PRUnderground) September 3rd, 2025

Mito Red Light, pioneers of the next generation of red light therapy devices, today announced it will donate 3% of all sales during September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, to childhood cancer charities including: Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, Max Love Project, and Phoenix Children’s Foundation.

This campaign is deeply personal for Mito’s founders, Scott and Kayleigh Chaverri. Their son, Matthew, was diagnosed with childhood cancer at age two but thanks to research and therapies, today Matthew is 11, active, and entering his third season of youth hockey. The Chaverris say their family’s experience with the wellness industry inspired them to start Mito Red Light – and that giving back is central to the company’s mission.

“We created Mito to provide tools that support everyday wellbeing, but more than that, we wanted to build a company that gives back to families facing the hardest fight imaginable,” said Scott Chaverri, Founder & CEO of Mito Red Light. “Dedicating a portion of our September sales to childhood cancer organizations is how we can turn our customers’ purchases into immediate support for programs that aid kids and their families.”

Kayleigh Chaverri, Co-Founder & Chief of Staff, added: “Looking back, those years of treatment were some of the hardest of our lives. Seeing him now as an active, thriving 11-year-old, playing his third season of hockey, reminds us how important it is to support families still in the middle of that fight. This campaign is our way of honoring his journey and giving back to the organizations that provide strength and hope when families need it most.”

During September, customers who purchase directly from Mito Red Light’s online store will see 3% of their order total earmarked for vital pediatric cancer charities. Mito will publish a summary of the campaign results and the combined donation total after September closes.
