Widow and Wellness Coach Marie Scott Honors Late Firefighter Husband at Legend Oaks Golf Course

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - June 13, 2022 - PRLog -- The 3rd Annual Dave Scott Memorial Golf Tournament, netted $12,103.00 for the Charleston Youth Hockey Association's Player Enrichment Account.

The success of the golf tournament allows the Association to continue funding scholarships for players in financial need. In addition, offering enhancements to skills and development programs, funding growth initiatives such as growing goalies and growing girls, assisting in a partnership with the North Charleston Cops Athletic Program and other programs as needed.

The tournament was help at Legend Oaks Golf Course in Summerville, South Carolina.

Angela Brady states,

"This event is the Association's major annual fundraising initiative. It comes with a plethora of moving parts and requires many long hours of planning and coordination, spanning over several months. We cannot give enough thanks to our Fundraising Chairperson Shelby Sieg for her dedication to ensuring the success of the event.  Equally, many thank yous going out to all the sponsors, donors, golfers and volunteers who gave selflessly in support of the event and our Association."

The tournament is the vision of Dave Scott's widow, Marie Scott.  Marie has taken the painful loss of her husband and used it to fuel her passion for helping others.

Brady states,
"To Marie Scott, this day would not be possible if not for you! We continue to be honored that you chose the Charleston Youth Hockey Association in recognition of Dave's memory and his love for the sport of hockey. With such, his memory lives on through the many children who are afforded the opportunity to continue playing the sport they too have grown to love."
