The Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (BAPPEBTI) has announced an updated list of 36 officially registered cryptocurrency exchanges and brokers after extending the compliance deadline for exchanges to meet the requirements for Physical Crypto Asset Traders (PFAK).
The extension of the compliance deadline is based on BAPPEBTI Regulation No. 9 of 2024, which marks the third amendment to BAPPEBTI Regulation No. 8 of 2021. The original regulation, issued in 2021, was designed to regulate the Indonesian cryptocurrency market and required exchanges and brokers to operate within a compliance framework.
