Mobile-Area Providers Announce New Independent Physician Association to Improve Patient Outcomes

38 local providers join together to increase care coordination and drive cost efficiencies for the region

Today, a group of local physicians announced the launch of USA Health Independent Physician Association (USA Health IPA), a new network of providers serving the greater Mobile region. The new affiliation was created to improve patient health outcomes and affordability through enhanced care coordination between providers.

With the program launch, patients are able to receive tailored care plans through a comprehensive network of providers collaborating to improve health outcomes. Patients now have access to a robust team of providers, including primary care and specialists. By ensuring that all providers have access to data and information about the nuances of their patient’s health status, they are able to provide a cohesive and personalized treatment plan, which in turn results in better health outcomes at a lower cost.

Additional patient benefits of the new IPA include:

  • Embedded care teams that will include nurses and pharmacists to ensure enhanced care coordination
  • An expanded network of providers, including specialists, to ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Increased focus on clinical health outcomes and patient experience through a support team of administrative and management needs

USA Health IPA, which is managed by CareAllies, will also support local providers as they move into alternative payment models, such as pay-for-quality or shared savings. By helping manage the complexities of contracting, billing and reporting, USA Health IPA is setting up providers for long-term success by enabling providers to select which health plans they will participate in, while accessing resources to improve patient outcomes.

“We are thrilled to bring together this group of leading providers in the Mobile region to further support the patients of this tight-knit community. The formation of the USA Health IPA underscores each provider’s commitment to delivering high-quality patient care,” said Dr. Robert Israel, president of USA Health IPA. “Through shared resources and knowledge, we are collectively able to better care for our patients. This coordinated approach allows us to operate as a united team aiming to improve health outcomes in the region.”

USA Health IPA is live. Providers interested in joining the IPA can contact Dawn Hicks at dawn.hicks@careallies.com or 804.546.2533.
