Callodine Group Appoints Will Karim as General Counsel

Callodine Group (“Callodine”), an asset management platform focused on yield-oriented investment strategies across public and private markets, today announced the appointment of Will Karim as General Counsel. In this role, Mr. Karim will oversee Callodine’s legal function, serve as a member of the firm’s senior leadership team, and support the continued growth, strategic initiatives and day-to-day operation of the Callodine platform.

Mr. Karim brings nearly two decades of experience across alternative credit, asset management and public company platforms. He most recently served as Deputy General Counsel and Head of Legal for First Eagle Alternative Credit, where he led legal matters across the business, including fund formation, investment transactions, regulatory and governance matters, fund financings, M&A and strategic initiatives. During his tenure, he also served in a senior legal role for the launch and ongoing operation of public and private business development companies, interval funds and private funds.

Prior to joining First Eagle Alternative Credit in 2017, Mr. Karim served as Counsel at Keurig Green Mountain, where he advised on strategic partnerships, commercial transactions and corporate financings. Earlier in his career, he practiced law at Proskauer Rose LLP and Mayer Brown LLP, focusing on leveraged finance and other credit transactions. Mr. Karim received his J.D., cum laude, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and his B.A. in Political Science, with Honors, from Trinity College.
