I'm meteorologist Chris Michaels, another WREL weather alert day. Another day of some pretty intense heat as well. Most of us seeing the heat index peaking between about 107 and 112, so feeling just about as hot as yesterday. In addition to that, we do have the chance for some strong to severe thunderstorms that chance is called a level. To risk, meaning that stronger thunderstorms would be scattered throughout the area, more than likely after 3 or 4 p.m. Then, as we look ahead to tomorrow, a new heat advisory in effect for most of the area where we see the heat index at 104 or above.
