The F4 Foundation Raises More Than $76,000 for Children in NeedThe F4 Foundation, a non-profit organization, completed a successful mission trip to Kenya in 2022. The team of 14 raised more than $76,000 through yard sales, art shows, and grocery store donation programs, and used the funds to provide critical supplies and repairs to those in need.

501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The F4 Foundation is proud to announce the completion of another successful mission trip to Kenya where they delivered critical supplies and repairs to those in need.

Like most non-profits, the F4 Foundation struggled to stay afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic as fewer donations came in to help fund their mission. This also meant the foundation had less money to give out to people in need. This led the F4 team to spring into action and get creative in order to continue to serve vulnerable communities.

“In February of 2022, the F4 Africa charity leadership group met, and within 10 minutes, we knew it was time to head back to Kenya for our 4th mission trip. Our goal was to give more than the F4 Foundation had ever given before. It was to be no small task as charitable giving was down over 64% nationwide,” said Steve Fitch, who helped lead the efforts.

After the meeting, the foundation assembled a team of 14 and took their fundraising to a new level. The team went above and beyond, holding yard sales, art shows, and grocery store donation programs on top of asking everybody they knew for whatever they could give.

The team far surpassed its goal to raise $40,000 and raised more than $76,000. The foundation used the money to buy and fund the construction of:

  • Three playgrounds
  • Two long drop latrines
  • One guest latrine
  • Two showers
  • Six boys’ homes roofs
  • Six ceilings completely painted
  • 3,200 pairs of underwear
  • More than 500 pairs of shoes
  • Livestock with pens
  • Three special meals for the children
  • A commercial popcorn machine
  • Feeding children in need their only meal for that day
  • Medical supplies
  • Sheets
  • Towels
  • Hundreds of toothbrushes

“We want to give a special shoutout to Yellowblue Eco Tech’s Dealer Network and employees that helped make this all possible, so thank you very much for all your support,” said Fitch.

The F4 Foundation is looking forward to going back to Kenya in two years to hopefully raise even more money and be able to do even more good. People interested in participating in the foundation’s 2024 mission trip to Kenya to support the Christian Ministries in Africa and all of the orphanages, group homes, and churches that they provide for are encouraged to reach out to the F4 Foundation.
