Happy Media has officially confirmed the details for this year's edition of Australia's largest independent music competition.

Monday 16th November. NSW, Australia: As the anticipation for Australia's biggest annual search for indie talent turns up to 11, Happy Media has announced full information regarding this year's prize pool while additionally confirming the judges for this year's competition.
A Chance To Have A Hit Single
The prize pool, totalling over $30,000 in value, has been tailor-made to give the winning musicians the tools they need to take their careers to the next level. The Grand Prize is a pressing of the winning single on vinyl by Zenith Records, plus additional prizes from JMC Academy, Spinnup, Zippo, IK Multimedia, Baby Audio, ujam, and Jameson Irish Whiskey.
Runner-up prizes include packages, vouchers, and products from Audio-Technica, Turramurra Music, and more.
Happy Media have also announced the 2020 competition judges, who will ultimately decide the winners after Happy Media picks 30 Needle In The Hay finalists.
The 2020 judges are artist Megan Washington, journalist Bernard Zuel, producer Eric J, and television and radio presenter Julia Zemiro.

About Needle In The Hay
Needle In The Hay is an annual music competition run by Happy Media, now in its fourth year. Created to give artists a shot in the arm when they need it most, the competition has supported the early careers of dozens of Australian and New Zealand musicians now receiving international recognition.
Previous Needle In The Hay winners and finalists include Spacey Jane, IV League, Kardajala Kirridarra, Tones and I, Haiku Hands, and Egoism.
