Algoma Steel Provides Guidance for the Third Quarter 2025 and Announces Board Update

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ontario, Oct. 01, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Algoma Steel Group Inc. (NASDAQ: ASTL; TSX: ASTL) (โ€œAlgomaโ€ or the โ€œCompanyโ€), a leading Canadian producer of hot and cold rolled steel sheet and plate products, today provided guidance for its quarter ended September 30, 2025. Unless otherwise specified, all amounts are in Canadian dollars.

Total steel shipments for the quarter are expected to be approximately 415,000 โ€“ 420,000 net tons and Adjusted EBITDA is expected to be negative $80 million โ€“ negative $90 million.

Board of Directors Update

Separately, the Company is announcing that David Sgro has resigned from the board of directors for personal reasons.
