
Internet, cable TV, and phone provider Cable One (NYSE: CABO) will be announcing earnings results this Thursday after the bell. Hereโs what to expect.
Cable One met analystsโ revenue expectations last quarter, reporting revenues of $381.1 million, down 3.4% year on year. It was a slower quarter for the company, with a significant miss of analystsโ adjusted operating income estimates and a significant miss of analystsโ EPS estimates. It reported 1.03 million residential data subscribers, down 3% year on year.

This quarter, analysts are expecting Cable Oneโs revenue to decline 3.7% year on year to $378.9 million, improving from the 6.4% decrease it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $9.25 per share.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. Cable One has missed Wall Streetโs revenue estimates six times over the last two years.
Looking at Cable Oneโs peers in the wireless, cable and satellite segment, some have already reported their Q3 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Sirius XM posted flat year-on-year revenue, beating analystsโ expectations by 0.8%, and Comcast reported a revenue decline of 2.7%, topping estimates by 1.6%. Sirius XM traded up 3.1% following the results while Comcast was down 2.4%.

Debates over possible tariffs and corporate tax adjustments have raised questions about economic stability in 2025. While some of the wireless, cable and satellite stocks have shown solid performance in this choppy environment, the group has generally underperformed, with share prices down 7% on average over the last month. Cable One is down 17.6% during the same time and is heading into earnings with an average analyst price target of $213.25 (compared to the current share price of $144.02).
