Idaho builder urges others to reflect, reset, and build a life that matters
Idaho, US, 30th July 2025, ZEX PR WIRE, Jesse Vierstra, founder of Iron Oaks Custom Homes and author of Under the Red Oak Tree, is using his personal story to raise awareness about the power of grit, discipline, and inner strength in todayโs fast-moving world. Drawing from his background in farming, construction, faith, and personal growth, Jesse is encouraging others to look beyond shortcuts and find success in honest, meaningful effort.
โThereโs no shortcut to successโjust small, steady steps and showing up every single day,โ says Jesse Vierstra. โI grew up on a dairy farm. If you didnโt do the job, animals suffered. Thatโs where I learned that responsibility isnโt optionalโitโs the standard.โ
Jesse started his homebuilding business in 2018 with limited resources. Since then, heโs built over 50 custom homes, launched multiple businesses, and created a solar energy platform for farms. He did it all without investors, flash, or fanfareโjust persistence and daily discipline.
According to a recent study by the American Psychological Association, 77% of adults report feeling overwhelmed by the pace of life. Yet, research shows that simple routines, goal-setting, and reflection reduce stress and increase long-term satisfaction. Jesse agreesโand says itโs time we talk about it.
โWe live in a world of fast answers and constant pressure,โ he says. โBut peace doesnโt come from getting everything done. It comes from knowing you did your bestโand that takes planning, faith, and showing up.โ
Vierstraโs call to action is less about joining a cause and more about making a choice. He encourages people to slow down, write down their goals, and think about what truly matters in their lives.
โYou donโt need a massive plan,โ he explains. โYou just need to move forward, even if itโs one small thing today. Thatโs how I started. Thatโs how I keep going.โ
Jesse also created the Ryan Franklin Memorial Golf Tournament in memory of a friend and to support community causes. His efforts reflect a broader belief in building not just businesses, but relationships and legacy.
โRyan was someone who showed up for people. Thatโs what we need more ofโpeople who are present, not perfect,โ Jesse says.
What Can You Do?
Jesseโs message is clear:
-
Write it down. Define your goals, then break them into micro steps.
-
Stick to your values. Let honesty, effort, and purpose guide your work.
-
Show up. Especially on the days you donโt feel like it.
-
Serve others. Volunteer, give back, or simply show kindness.
-
Find stillness. Whether itโs through journaling, prayer, or quiet timeโmake space for peace.
โThis isnโt about me,โ Jesse says. โItโs about showing others that you can start small, be honest, stay focused, and build a life that means something.โ
