Developer marketing program by DevTools Academy activates 60+ technical creators and establishes a repeatable acquisition channel for Stream.

Houston, TX - October 19, 2026 - DevTools Academy, a developer marketing and creator partnerships agency, today announced the results of its creator partnership program with Stream, the infrastructure platform for in-app Chat, Video, Activity Feeds and AI Moderation.

The year-long engagement generated more than 6,600 sign-ups for Stream while establishing a structured creator acquisition program spanning more than 60 technical creators across different social media and tech community channels.

The program was designed to address a fundamental challenge: Stream had potential to acquire customers through developer creators, but lacked a systematic creator pipeline. At the beginning of the engagement, creator outreach was largely ad hoc and cost per sign-up was above $100. DevTools Academy's goal was to build a repeatable, cost-efficient acquisition channel that could continue generating results over time.

Creators were selected based on technical depth and audience fit rather than follower count, allowing Stream to reach developers through channels where technical audiences already consume educational and product-related content.

DevTools Academy also supported Stream's launch of Vision Agents, an open-source project, by coordinating creators on X and LinkedIn around the October launch. Vision Agents surpassed 3,500 GitHub stars at launch and has since grown to more than 8,000 stars.

Stream’s Director of Marketing, Neevash Ramdial, says, “Ankur and his team brought structure and accountability to a channel we knew had potential but hadn't fully unlocked. He built our entire creator partnership program from the ground up, and delivered consistent sign-up growth across every quarter.”

The launch demonstrated how creator partnerships could be used not only for direct acquisition, but also to generate awareness and momentum around developer-focused open-source products.
