Katie Farrell Coaching helps clients to achieve success on their own terms
LUTON, UK / ACCESSWIRE / September 5, 2023 / Purpose-driven entrepreneurs are on the rise. A study published by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, in 2021, showed that 70.5% of entrepreneurs surveyed were motivated by the desire to make a difference.
Katie Farrell Coaching knows this to be true. The company aims to guide entrepreneurs on how they can achieve success on their own terms, by taking purpose-aligned action.
This includes:
1.Trusting yourself
Founder Katie Farrell says: "Our intuition, or 'gut instinct', is our inner satellite navigation system, so if yours tells you something feels great (or not!), follow its guidance; I guarantee you won't regret it. When we can build faith in our intrinsic values, strengths and knowledge, we are far more likely to make decisions and take steps that work out for us, than when we rely purely on other peoples' perspectives or agenda."
2. Looking for the message
Katie says: "When the going gets tough, or it feels like nothing's going your way, remember these words from US writer Susan L Taylor: ‘In every crisis there is a message. Crises are nature's way of forcing change - breaking down old structures, shaking loose negative habits so that something new and better can take their place.'"
3. Knowing yourself
Katie says: "What's your why? Do you know what drives you? What motivates you when you hit obstacles on your way to achieving your goals? How do you react under pressure; where is your tipping point into stress? The more we can understand about ourselves, the more effective we become not just in striving for our own aspirations, but in making sure we do so in a way that doesn't impact us negatively. It also helps us to communicate our needs better, as well as improving our relationships with others. Completing a personality and behavioural assessment, such as DISC, can be a really helpful starting point for this."
4. Building a network
The life of an entrepreneur or a leader can be a lonely place, so having a network of like-minded people around you can help you make great connections on both a professional and personal level. According to Katie, knowing you have people to call on, who have been where you are and can pass on advice, or are going through similar challenges and can share the journey with you, can make all the difference to the mental and emotional toils you face. She says: "There are many options now for networking, whether for profession-specific groups, multi-profession lock-out groups, those purely for socialising, in-person or online, the list goes on. Try out a few different ones, as it's certainly no one-size-fits-all and you're sure to make some great new connections."
5. Asking for help
Katie says: "It's not just OK to ask for help; it's practically imperative. We can't expect to know everything - whether it's running a business or stepping up into a new leadership role. By investing in support from a mentor, coach or other expert who has either been where you are and can share their wisdom, or can guide you through the tough times and celebrate your successes with you, you can save so much time, money and energy than if we try to do everything ourselves."
Following a 20-year career in the corporate world, Katie was made redundant in 2010 after the global economic crash. She was already studying for a diploma in CBT-Hypnotherapy for personal interest, so fast-tracked that and established a new practice within 6 weeks.
She also qualified as a Personal Development Coach and her services naturally evolved over the years. However, the symptoms of burn-out that had started to show during her consultancy days reared their head again, only this time much more severely.
Katie says: "I'd taken my high-achieving, perfectionist ways into the self-employment world and was juggling 3 businesses as well as the role of a single parent - something had to give and it was looking like that something was me."
After suffering a crash of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, she realised that she'd been neglecting her health, so she embarked on a journey of personal development, including going through a spiritual awakening, discovering her soul purpose and further developing her energy healing capabilities, that she was finally able to heal herself completely.
She now helps others to understand themselves on a deeper level; their purpose, values, skills and qualities, to remove any limitations currently blocking their path to success and unlock their potential so they can bring their best selves forward to live a happy, healthy and fulfilled life - whatever that means for them.
Katie shared her personal story of finding her purpose as well as her tips and advice on how others can do the same, in the bestselling book Entrepreneur Secrets: Coaches, Consultants & Experts Share The Secrets To Their Success. The book featured 11 authors from across the globe, and hit multiple number 1 spots on the Amazon bestseller lists when it was published.
