Rockwell Automation $20,000 Donation Supports Red Cross Efforts Following Deadly Tornado Outbreak

By: 3BL Media

SOURCE: Rockwell Automation

DESCRIPTION:

MILWAUKEE, December 14, 2021 /3BL Media/ - Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK) has made a $20,000 donation to the American Red Cross to support the organization’s disaster relief efforts after at least 24 tornadoes ripped across six midwestern and southern states this past weekend.

“Our hearts and thoughts are with the thousands of affected families whose holiday season will be marked by the loss of loved ones and homes after one of the most devastating tornado outbreaks in years,” said Rockwell’s Patricia Contreras, vice president of Public Affairs. “We are grateful to our partners at the American Red Cross. With such widespread heartache and damage, we know families will need support for weeks to come and the Red Cross will be there for as long as needed.”

The Red Cross has large relief efforts underway in four states — Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, and Arkansas— making sure everyone has a safe place to stay, meals, emotional support, and comfort. The nonprofit is moving as quickly as possible to get additional volunteers, supplies, and help to the hardest hit areas.

Rockwell’s latest contribution follows $65,000 in grants made to the Red Cross earlier this year for disaster relief efforts following the summer’s massive earthquake in Haiti and the devastation left behind from Hurricane Ida, and humanitarian relief efforts for military, veterans, and evacuees following the military unrest in Afghanistan.

Rockwell will also use its previously established internal Red Cross microsite as a portal for its employees to support the non-profit’s tornado relief efforts.

According to the Red Cross, financial donations are the quickest and best way to get help to those who need it most — and gives people the flexibility to purchase what they need. Learn more about how to support Red Cross efforts.
