May 18, 2022 /3BL Media/ - 3BL Media has named AMD as a leader in the semiconductor industry in its annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking, recognizing outstanding environmental, social and governance (ESG) transparency and performance among the 1,000 largest U.S. public companies.
This year, AMD placed #56 in the overall ranking (up from #85 in 2021) and #3 in the semiconductor industry ranking. This award recognizes the company’s continued efforts to address ESG-related issues across its operations, supply chain and products, including progress undertaken over the past year in partnership with employees and suppliers as well as in the areas of human rights and governance.

Since its launch in 1999, the 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking has become increasingly competitive as companies strengthen their ESG disclosures and elevate their performance. Using a methodology developed by 3BL Media, all Russell 1000 Index companies are researched by ISS ESG, the responsible investment research arm of Institutional Shareholder Services. The ranking includes 155 ESG transparency and performance factors in eight pillars: climate change, employee relations, environment, finance, governance, human rights, stakeholders and society, and ESG performance.
