Morton Industries Acquires Superior Tube Products, Expanding Capabilities and Customer Reach

MORTON, IL - Morton Industries is proud to announce its acquisition of Superior Tube Products (STP), a respected name in precision tube fabrication. As part of this strategic expansion, all STP operations will transition into Morton Industries' facilities in Morton, Illinois, and Dunlap, Tennessee, with production shifting fully by January 1, 2026. This move represents more than an operational change — it’s a longterm investment in enhanced capabilities, customer growth, and innovation across industries.

“We’re excited to welcome the STP business into the Morton Industries family,” said Chris Ober, President & CEO of Morton Industries. “This strengthens our ability to serve both existing and new customers with a wider range of high-quality, precision-formed components and welded assemblies.”

About the Expansion

STP has long served OEMs across industries such as agriculture, HVAC, construction, and industrial equipment. By integrating STP’s work into Morton’s vertically integrated operations, customers will now benefit from:

  • Expanded CNC and large OD tube bending
  • Advanced 5-axis and in-line laser cutting
  • Robotic and manual welding capabilities
  • In-house tooling, fixture design, and engineering support
  • Enhanced turnaround times and greater production scale

“This move is about more than continuity — it’s about unlocking new opportunities,” said Andrew Rommann, former President of STP and now Vice President of Strategic Transformation at Morton Industries. “With Morton Industries, we’re not only preserving the quality our customers expect, we’re elevating it with greater capabilities, advanced technology, and long-term partnership.”
