A Recording Academy Member, Stix Bones received a bachelor’s degree in jazz performance, and began his career touring with Rahzel The Godfather of Noise in the UK and France. After becoming the musical director of Lyricist Lounge (a hip-hop showcase for rappers) he collaborated with artists including De La Soul, Talib Kweli, Q-Tip, Doug E. Fresh and others. He’s has had charted jazz albums, has ventured into the world of dance singles as well as hip-hop. He and his band The Bone Squad have opened for acts including: Chaka Khan, Cedric the Entertainer, The Ojays, Babyface and a marathon of others.
