Businessnet Highlights AgentWebhook for Zero-Trust Webhook Infrastructure

Businessnet Highlights AgentWebhook for Zero-Trust Webhook Infrastructure
zero trust webhooks, secure webhook infrastructure, webhook relay platform, outbound-only architecture, developer security tools
Businessnet has launched AgentWebhook, a webhook relay platform designed to support zero-trust infrastructure models. The system allows developers to receive webhook events using outbound-only connections, eliminating the need for publicly exposed endpoints.

Outbound-only architecture allows developers to receive webhook events without opening inbound network access.

Security teams increasingly favor outbound-only architectures that avoid exposing internal systems to the public internet.

Businessnet says its AgentWebhook platform enables developers to receive webhook events while maintaining a zero-trust, outbound-only approach to webhook infrastructure.

Webhook integrations typically require a publicly accessible endpoint so external services can push events directly to an application. In many environments—particularly enterprise networks and private infrastructure—opening inbound connections can introduce security risks or conflict with network policies.

AgentWebhook introduces a pull-based relay architecture where external services send webhook events to a hosted endpoint, and developers retrieve those events when their systems are ready. This model removes the need for public URLs, open ports, or inbound firewall exceptions.

"Many development teams operate in environments where opening inbound ports simply isn't an option," said Ben Simkin, CEO of Businessnet. "AgentWebhook was built around an outbound-only model so teams can work with webhook integrations while maintaining the security posture their infrastructure requires."

The platform includes event storage, retry mechanisms, replay tools, and delivery monitoring through a web dashboard. Developers can inspect payloads, review event histories, and reprocess failed deliveries without building their own queue or replay infrastructure.

Demand for secure webhook infrastructure continues to grow as automation platforms, APIs, and event-driven architectures expand across development workflows. Industry analysis estimates the global market for webhook relay and related developer infrastructure tools at approximately $352 million, driven by demand for secure integrations and automation pipelines.

AgentWebhook is available globally. Developers can create webhook sources and begin receiving events through the platform at:
