The Valsef Dream Big Foundation Launches the Dream Big Playground Program

A $1 Million Commitment to Build and Revitalize 10 Playgrounds Across Greater Montreal

MONTRÉAL, QC / ACCESS Newswire / March 17, 2026 / The Valsef Dream Big Foundation, proudly founded by Valsoft Corporation, Valnet Inc., Valstone, and Valsef Capital, today announced the launch of the Dream Big Playground Program, a major new initiative that will invest up to $100,000 per project to build and revitalize inclusive playgrounds serving children from 1-12 years old across Greater Montreal.

The program marks a significant step forward in the Foundation's commitment to empowering youth and strengthening communities through long-term, high-impact investments that will last over 25 years, helping many generations to come.

Playgrounds are more than recreational spaces. They are environments where children develop physical health, social confidence, resilience, and imagination. Yet many schools and community organizations face aging infrastructure, limited accessibility, growing student numbers, and financial barriers that prevent safe play. The Dream Big Playground Program is designed to address those gaps by funding projects that create modern, inclusive, and sustainable outdoor environments for children.

"When we invest in playgrounds, we are investing in childhood itself," said Stephane Manos, Chairman of the Board of the Valsef Dream Big Foundation. "We believe that outdoor time and physical activity play a vital role in global health. When children spend time outside, they return to school more focused, setting them up to succeed and thrive in life. The Dream Big Playground Program reflects our belief that every child deserves access to an environment where they can grow, connect, and thrive, regardless of their circumstances."

A Strategic Investment in Long-Term Community Impact

The Dream Big Playground Program will support public elementary schools, daycare centers, nonprofits, located in Greater Montreal, including the South Shore and North Shore.

Each selected project may receive up to $100,000 in funding to support:

  • Playground structures

  • Inclusive and accessible play equipment

  • Safe surfacing and landscaping

  • Installation and related infrastructure

To promote shared ownership and sustainability, recipient organizations will contribute a minimum of 10 percent of total project costs through complementary funding sources.

The initiative aligns directly with the Foundation's four pillars of support: health and well-being, education, accessible sports, and community development. It reinforces the Foundation's focus on measurable and lasting outcomes for young people.

"This program is about creating spaces that will serve thousands of children year after year," said Véronnik Marcil, General Manager of the Valsef Dream Big Foundation. "We are intentionally funding projects that demonstrate urgent need, strong community engagement, and long-term sustainability. Our goal is to leave behind a legacy of inclusive spaces where children can play together outside with confidence and joy."

Expanding the Foundation's Community Footprint

The Dream Big Playground Program represents a strategic evolution in the Foundation's impact model. It moves beyond programmatic support to invest in permanent community infrastructure that will benefit generations.

By combining disciplined financial stewardship with collaborative partnerships, the Foundation continues to scale initiatives that deliver meaningful and measurable results across the Greater Montreal area.

We are also proud to count on the support of Jambette, a Quebec-based company specializing in the construction and installation of playground equipment. Through this partnership, selected projects will benefit from a discount on their implementation.

Applications for the Dream Big Playground Program are now open on the foundation's website, with a first submission deadline of April 6, 2026. All conditions are detailed on the website: https://www.dreambigfoundation.com/playground-program
