2025 Email List Quality Report Reveals New Insights on Email List Health and Deliverability

SafetyMails releases the 2025 Email List Quality Report, a comprehensive study analyzing nearly one billion email addresses from 23 industries worldwide. The report reveals that 19.6 percent of emails in active databases pose deliverability risks, including invalid, disposable, and spamtrap addresses. The study highlights the impact of poor data collection and reinforces the importance of preventive measures such as real-time email verification API and bulk email verification. The full report is available for free on the SafetyMails website.

Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil, 29th Nov 2025 — SafetyMails, a global leader in email verification and deliverability solutions, has released its 2025 Email List Quality Report, the most extensive analysis of email list health available to the market. The study examines nearly one billion email addresses from 23 industries and provides a complete benchmark for companies that rely on email as a primary communication and revenue channel.

The report delivers a detailed overview of list quality, bounce risk, domain behavior, invalid address frequency, data collection problems, and practical recommendations for improving deliverability. Marketing teams, CRM managers, and digital departments now have access to reliable industry data that supports better decision making and higher ROI.

Key findings include:

  • 80.94 % of the analyzed emails are valid and safe for sending.
  • 11.7 % are invalid and generate hard bounces.
  • 7.9 % are risky, including disposable addresses and spamtraps.

In total, 19.6 percent of all contacts in active databases have the potential to damage deliverability.

The study also evaluated the quality of emails collected directly from signup forms. Even at the point of capture, 7.6 percent of submitted emails were already invalid and 4.57 percent were risky. This demonstrates that list contamination often begins before the first campaign is even sent.

To address these issues, the report reinforces the importance of adopting preventive measures such as real-time email verification API at the moment of data entry and regular bulk email verification before launching campaigns. These practices help prevent bounces, reduce exposure to spamtraps, maintain sender reputation, and protect inbox placement.

“As email marketing remains a key channel for businesses around the world, data quality is the foundation of every successful campaign,” said Priscila Gonçalves, CEO of SafetyMails. “This report provides companies with real benchmarks and a clear path to strengthening deliverability, improving performance, and protecting revenue.”
